GOAL

The goal of my Applied Learning Project was to successfully contribute and gain experience in the digital marketing world. Within that I wanted to tackle certain marketing projects and campaigns based on the goals of my mentor and the companies I worked with. 

1) Found my mentor, Dan Hamilton who is the Director of Marketing and Sales at O'LYN Roofing. 

2) In September/ October I meet the O'LYN Roofing marketing team and we discussed the overall goals and image we wanted to express on social media.  

3) We began organizing and producing content to run our campaigns. 

4) In early December I got a paid opportunity to work with Wicked Sharp, a local ski/ sports shop, and SkeedyID, a new software company looking to take part of the sports industry digital.  

5) Began campaigns with both SkeedyID and Wicked Sharp. Later, the results of SkeedyID's campaign allowed me to become potential business partners with its owner. 

6) The O'LYN Roofing marketing team and I revised our plan to try and promote social media offline. To achieve this I create a flyer and handed it out at a Trade Show. 

7) O'LYN Roofing began to sign a contract with CBS/ Sports Hub to do digital, social, mobile, and radio marketing. I was able to attend some of these meetings and strategize with O'LYN and CBS. 

8) I am continuing work with all three companies and hope to build on what I already know.
