Research Paper: Social Media Marketing

Thesis Statement: 

Although many believe social media is not needed, or costs to much for business to effectively use, the concept of Social Media Marketing is a very powerful tool that must be used by companies. It allows them to reach more customers, enhance company and customer interaction, and is a relatively cost effective marketing tool compared to other marketing strategies.

Plan of Action:

In my plan of action I discussed how a business would go about setting up and getting started on social media. A lot of this is from my personal experience working with three companies. Firstly, I talked about how a company should go about choosing what site(s) they're on. This is mainly dependent on who their audience is , and how easy it is to engage on each platform. Next, I dealt with how often and what companies should post for content. Again, this is dependent on their target customer, but it is important not be "too advertisey" with your products and services.  Finally, if a company wanted to explore the wide opportunity of paid social media/ digital ads, I recommended they hire an expert or agency. If they cannot afford this, online tutorials and a little practice with a low campaign budget is the way to go.  

With the billions of monthly users, it's a no brainier to advertise your business on social media.  

Business should connect on the platform the customer is most comfortable on, the result is a better experience.  

Due to the verity of  people, social media ads have become almost 100x cheaper than traditional marketing.
